IRSSS HR Administrative Assistant

FULL TIME TERM POSITION KAMLOOPS

This position is responsible for providing administrative support services for the HR & Policy Director.

Duties 

  • Requests, receives, locates IRSSS of personnel data and ensuring personnel/CSP elder records are up to date
  • Uploads all personnel records in a “user friendly” method to the IRSSS Cloud for MT to access  
  • Administrative work including photocopies document and performing other HR clerical duties
  • Ensures the confidentiality of Personnel records at all times
  • Occasionally assists other dept. with urgent requests
  • Ensures monthly stats are submitted and filed as required
  • Implement and administer employee policies and procedures and promotes positive employee relations
  • Records and acts as first point of contact for Staff requests on leave and employment related information requests
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Have 2 years University or BA or equivalent education and experience
  • Have or be willing to work towards Human Resources Management Diploma or Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) or;
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Excellent Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Previous work in HR Dept an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Indigenous clientele

Additional Requirements:

  • Advanced Computer literacy, computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Internet
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Culture would be an asset
  • Must undergo and pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Strong organizational, communication and team skills
