Associate Wellness Director

The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) is seeking a compassionate, grounded, and experienced leader to join our team as an Associate Wellness Director. This vital leadership role supports the delivery of trauma-informed, culturally safe wellness programs for Indigenous communities across British Columbia.
The Associate Wellness Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all wellness and program services, ensuring culturally safe, trauma-informed, and Survivor-centered delivery across the organization. This role integrates program development, service delivery, clinical oversight, and people leadership to advance holistic wellness outcomes for both clients and staff. The successful candidate will also oversee program quality, risk management, and compliance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
This position requires advanced education in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related health service delivery field (Master’s preferred). The successful candidate should have proven leadership experience, strong knowledge of governance and program management/development, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed and cultural safety practices, especially in relation to the intergenerational impacts of residential schools. This is an on-site role with a 100% in-office requirement with options to work out of one of our offices in West Vancouver, Kamloops, Prince George, or Chilliwack, BC.

Wellness Workers - RHSW/IDS/MMIWG/TICSW
Prince George, Kamloops, and Chilliwack, BC / Full-Time Positions
The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) is seeking compassionate, culturally grounded Wellness Workers to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe emotional, spiritual, and wellness support for a variety of IRSSS Programs (RHSW/IDS/MMIWG/TICSW).
The Wellness Worker (WW) provides or facilitates support services to former Indian Residential School (IRS) students and their family members. This may include emotional support, cultural support, and other types of short-term crisis support to Survivors, Intergenerational Survivors, and families in First Nation communities both rural and urban. The WW also provides presentation and workshop facilitation services on a variety of culturally safe and appropriate topics and practices.
This position requires a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, with a demonstrable ability to work respectfully within diverse communities while upholding cultural safety and confidentiality. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 40-60% in-office requirement (based on community events & travel) with options to work out of one of our offices in Prince George, Kamloops, or Chilliwack, BC.
