IRSSS invites Expressions of Interest from individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors. Professional experience and lived experience are both valued. Residential School Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors are strongly encouraged to apply.

Recent acts of denialism and racist vandalism remind us that Indigenous-led, survivor-centred support is more vital than ever. IRSSS remains committed to healing, safety, and culturally safe services for Survivors and families.

IRSSS is expressing deep concern following repeated acts of racist vandalism on the Orange Bridge and the “Every Child Matters” message in Port Alberni, located on the territory of Tseshaht First Nation.

IRSSS offices locations will be closed from Monday, December 22, 2025, to Friday, January 2, 2026. Please be assured that our Lamathut 24/7 Crisis Line will remain open throughout the holiday season for anyone in urgent need.
