SURVIVOR-FOUNDED, SURVIVOR-RUN, FOR OVER 30 YEARS
Culture is Living. Healing is, too.
For Survivors and families, cultural connection can be an important part of healing — creating space for identity, belonging, wellness, and connection to community.
At IRSSS, culturally grounded wellness is part of how we support Survivors, families, and communities. From opportunities to participate in cultural practices to connection with Elders, culturally grounded support can take many forms, shaped by the needs and traditions of each community.
Your gift helps make that access possible.
Your generosity helps IRSSS reach communities when and where support is needed, provide materials and opportunities for cultural practice, and ensure our staff are prepared to walk alongside Survivors and families with care, respect, and cultural understanding.

When You Invest in Culture, You Invest in Our Future.
AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY CARE
Survivor-founded in 1994, IRSSS has been Indigenous-operated from day one. We were built by those who understand this work best, and trusted by communities across BC and beyond because of it. Last year, our support staff walked alongside Survivors and the families who carry this history with them through more than 240,000 moments of support.
MONTHLY GIVING MEANS MORE
Make your impact ongoing. A monthly gift provides reliable, sustained support that helps IRSSS keep culturally grounded wellness accessible to Survivors, families, and communities throughout the year. Whether it’s $10, $25, or what feels right for you, your ongoing generosity helps ensure this work can continue, season after season, when and where it’s needed most.
CULTURE IS HOW WE HEAL
Support Doesn’t Stop when September Ends.
On September 30th, communities across the country pause to honour Survivors of residential schools and mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. At IRSSS, that honouring does not live in a single day. It shows up in a drum tuned before a gathering. It shows up in medicine gathered in its own season, following protocol carried forward through generations.
Healing happens here all year, in the steady work of staying connected to culture.
