IRSSS’ Kamloops Office in Sun Rivers officially opened its doors on Thursday, May 28, strengthening services and resources available in the greater Kamloops area.

A new permanent office in Kamloops marks a significant step forward in strengthening IRSSS’ presence in the Okanagan. For over 30 years, IRSSS has provided healing support and services across British Columbia to Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors of the residential school system, and had previously operated a physical location in Kamloops. This new permanent office opens the door to additional opportunities for meaningful, locally-grounded service delivery.

This story features comments from IRSSS Executive Director Angela White, IRSSS Board Chair Rick Aleck, IRSSS Regional Manager Daniel Joe, IRSSS Director of Governance and People Barb Morin, and members of the surrounding Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc community.
