COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

Presentations & Workshops.

IRSSS offers educational presentations and workshops to community groups, businesses, schools, and organizations seeking to learn from our knowledgeable staff and Elders. These sessions are flexible in content and length, with 90 minutes being ideal. Presentations can be conducted either online (via platforms like MS Teams or Zoom) or in-person (schedule permitting, within BC). We cover topics such as:

⟡ Cultural Agility Over Cultural Competency
⟡ Understanding Intergenerational Trauma & Healing
⟡ Emotional Intelligence
⟡ And more

These sessions may also include personal testimonies from Indian Residential School Survivors or intergenerational Survivors (if available). All sessions deal with emotionally sensitive material, but are informative and impactful.

Due to high demand, IRSSS is now at at full capacity for September 2026 workshops & presentations. We greatly appreciate the extraordinary level of interest in this work and encourage interested parties to book a workshop or presentation with us later in the fall, winter, or in the new year.

Sessions are free of charge, but donations are appreciated to support IRSSS programs. Two weeks' notice required for cancellations. Cancellations within two weeks will incur a fee, including speaker fees and travel costs.
