Ross Wilson

Board Director

Ross Wilson is a Heiltsuk Nation member with more than 25 years of executive and governance experience supporting First Nations communities throughout British Columbia. His career has focused on advancing Indigenous governance, stewardship, natural resource management, organizational development, and community capacity-building through collaborative leadership and respectful partnerships.

Ross has served in executive leadership roles and as a Councillor and Chief Councillor, bringing extensive experience in strategic planning, policy development, financial oversight, and organizational governance.

As a newly appointed Director of the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, Ross is committed to supporting a survivor-centered approach that honours the strength, resilience, and voices of Residential School Survivors and their families. He is passionate about advancing culturally grounded healing, accountability, and good governance while supporting the Society's mission to provide compassionate services that foster healing, wellness, and reconciliation for Indigenous peoples and future generations.
