Daisy Elliott

Crisis Line Manager

‘Uy” Skweyul, Enthe’Pe TusTaaNaat, Good Day, I am Daisy E. I come from Snuneymuxw and Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxwam, and I am the Team Lead for Indian Residential School Survivor Society. I have been working in the helping field for several years. I worked as a Resolution Health Support Worker for a different service provider. By working in this field, I have gained more experience in crisis response training, trauma response and intervention,

You are not alone on this journey. At the Lamathut Crisis Line, our services are culturally sensitive for survivors, families and highly marginalized. Our mission is to support victims, survivors and intergenerational trauma, championing the cessation of Gender-Based Violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, no matter where they live.

We take pride in ensuring survivors seeking help through the Lamathut Crisis Line gain access to other IRSSS Programs and services. Facilitated through various referrals to Cultural Support Providers and Elders, Resolution Health Support Workers, MMIWG liaisons, Trauma-Informed Cultural Support Workers, and Indian Day School Coordinators. Our First Nation Crisis Line team is dedicated to providing an immediate, low barrier, no fee or costs associated with getting short-term immediate crisis counselling from a highly trained team. Any of our staff can refer IRSSS Crisis Counsellors who are ready to listen.
