Communications Manager

Meet Shawna, a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in marketing communications leadership. With a BA in Applied Design for Marketing, she has excelled in diverse roles, ranging from entrepreneur to digital strategist and beyond.

Born and raised on Stó:lō Territory, Shawna has been intricately involved in Indigenous business development, dedicating over a decade to a multi-sector Xaayda (Haida) owned enterprise corporation. During this time, she was also an active contributor to the Marketing Advisory Committee at Indigenous Tourism BC.

Now, as Communications Manager for the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, Shawna leverages her extensive experience to craft impactful strategies aligned with the organization's mission.
