Taja is an experienced writer, illustrator, and communications professional with over two years of experience working within the legal field. She was a first generation student when she attended McGill University, achieving her B.A. in Religious Studies and Geography in 2022.

Outside of work, Taja enjoys spending time skiing, exploring new places, and indulging her love of literature and the arts. She is learning to reconnect to her Fijian-Indian heritage and is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the mental health field. Taja is also a volunteer Crisis Responder for BC's suicide and mental health lines.

Taja was born in Kitimat, BC, on the unceded territory of the Haisla Nation. She currently resides in the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in the city of Vancouver.
