Chantel Homme
Senior MarCom Specialist
My name is Chantel Homme. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and raised primarily in Chilliwack, BC. I currently live in Surrey, BC, on the unceded and ancestral territory of the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen), and Semiahma (Semiahmoo).
My role in marketing and communications with IRSSS speaks to my passion for lending visibility to organizations through a structured, strategic, and technical approach. Within the scope of my work, my goal is to nurture survivor stories, foster outreach, and ultimately help those affected by the residential school system access key resources for healing.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Professional Communications Certificate from the University of the Fraser Valley, and have 7+ years of experience in digital marketing and communications. My previous work experience has involved multi-country omni-channel business development, public relations and communications for a government administration, digital marketing management, and more.
I am humbled to belong to a team that is dedicated to supporting survivors of the residential school system, and I am committed to providing excellence in support and allyship.
